Back when I were a youngun, it was a normal community activity to have comments on vibewire blogs. Rather a lot of comments, in fact. So I was startled to receive an automessage in my email treating someone's blog comment as an editing suggestion. The middle section read--

If you are the author of this item, we recommend that you read the comment, and update the documentation accordingly if required - then remove the comment. If further clarification is needed, reply to the comment, and the person whomade the comment will get a notification like this, and will likely give youmore details.

--which is, obviously, not right for a blog where the whole point is for people to ramble freely at one another.

Steps to reproduce:

Hi Fel,

The logic behind this functionality, was to encourage people to come back to the site if they forget about their posts. Some people find it handy, because they dont have to keep checking the site. It is also designed to facilitate the reduction of latency in author feedback to a comment. However I can defiantly see where you are coming from. When the site gets a little bigger and comments are happening more frequently, we will look into removing this functionality. I'm also not a huge fan or heaps of emails:)

Thanks for your feedback
