Response to WOW - a poem

A hoof on it's own is nought to behold

But what's atop four hooves is precious gold

A goat believes all things are edible

With an appetite insatiably terrible

A pig makes noises quite disgusting

But on the spit he's most appetising

Without the merino on the land

Australia never would've been so grand

On Christmas Eve ponder Santa's plight

Without his reindeer flying by night

Herds of cattle are a soothing sight

Better to be a milker than a meaty bite

Giraffes reach up to heavenly spheres

Long tongues used to clean eyes and ears

"Hee haw" says donkey with raucous timbre

"I may be stubborn but I'm also limber"

And on the zebra's stripy hide

Is there a pattern to be espied

Last but definitely by no means least

Comes the horse, the most noble beast
