A poem

Oh how diverse the abdominal bank

The holding tank for the aftermath of scrumptious meals and the fabric of things yet to come

Sometimes the receiver of remedies disagreeable

The emitter of fragrances rather undesirable

Perplexed with fluttering butterfly wings before those worrying times

Anchor for the cord of life to those kicking feet and tiny boxing fists

Bejewelled and gyrating to the rhythm and beat while peeping out between folds of oriental cloth

But mostly just a container for life

I had to read this piece over half a dozen times before I really got a handle on the irregular rhythm of it - which perhaps is a manufacture of my perception (often the author of a poem can view the arrangement and timbre of words with different emphases to the common reader...), although having said that, my contemplation leads me to suggest that perhaps you intended this, because it seems to reflect the undulating and bodily/organic nature of the subject. In short, I think what you done with the words is damn cool. Subject matter wins points for originality (certainly not banality) too.

5 Stars!
