Watching cars and guessing

corners, below kaleidoscope

minutes, red, orange, green,

waiting in the cold.

For seasons creep, like minutes

in space and time, constricted

between dateline and waiting

in deceitful moments.

How strange our half dream

lives; that seem to paint

themselves and rhyme

against our reason,

while we wait

for something real.
